A brother who won a £1 Million ‘will’ dispute case against his sister who falsely accused him of being a psychopath, tells his story of his five year-long battle. David Whittle was attacked by a string of lies from his sister, Sonia, as what was later unveiled to be a ghastly attempt to snatch their father’s estate from right beneath his very eyes. These atrocious accusations led to a five-year long battle between the pair.
One of the most shocking lies was that David had been accused of controlling a ring of prostitutes, with his wife Julie among one of them. He was also accused of being a violent man who assaulted women, as well as a thief. More shockingly, when David turned up at his father’s farmhouse after failing to locate him at his care home, his sister shouted at him that she was calling the police. Upon his return home, he discovered that his sister had accused him of threatening her with a gun, a claim that was false.
David labelled the incident as ‘ludicrous’, spiralling into a state of disbelief of how his relationship with his sister could go so dramatically downhill. It was also unveiled that she claimed he was a ‘criminal’ and a ‘psychopath’, convincing their father Gerald Whittle that his son had been trying to steal his bank details and classic cars, among other precious items. These ‘stolen items’ had in fact been sold at auction by Sonia herself. She also tried to convince her father that David and his wife had tried to force their way into their father’s house, stating that the police had issued a harassment order issued against the pair.
However, this wasn’t the end of the horrifying ordeal. In order to gain complete advantage, it was revealed Sonia had made herself next of kin, as well as obtaining power of attorney over her father’s estate. All of these accusations were found to be false, and Sonia was found guilty of fraudulent calumny. The estate will now be shared equally between them, as ruled in court.
